Where Dan Stands

Dan Fitzpatrick’s commitment to Division 2 — and the project that will define the next decade of Contra Costa water.

Priority 01

Complete the Canal Enclosure

The single largest decision ahead is the Contra Costa Canal Replacement Project. Nearly 50 miles of open canal currently deliver untreated water from the Delta to the treatment plants serving over 500,000 residents.

Enclosing and modernizing this system is a multi-year, multi-hundred-million-dollar commitment. Dan’s commitment is to modernize the Contra Costa Canal safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
